Butterfly Legends & Lore: How Butterflies Unknowingly Tell Me To Chill Out

Butterflies are symbolic.

When some people see a butterfly lazily gliding through the air while walking to get their mail or maybe while doing some much needed landscaping, the only thing that might cross their mind is, "how pretty," and they go back to what was originally occupying their time.

Other people treat butterflies as a message from loved ones that have past like the popular folklore that seeing a flaming red cardinal or picking up a random penny on the ground is a special message letting you know you're on someone's mind in a different time and place.

#Butterflies are a powerful #symbol. Do they have a special meaning for you? Find out how these pretty insects unknowingly tell me to chill out! #metaphysical #oracledeck #lifelesson

Butterflies hold different meanings and folklore for different people and cultures throughout the ages. For instance*:

How Groupon Coupons is Helping Me Look Sharp #GrouponCoupons

Disclaimer: This post is on behalf of Groupon Coupons and I have received product and/or monetary compensation in exchange for my participation. All thoughts and expressions contained in the post below are 100% mine and mine alone unless otherwise stated. Please do your own research before using or purchasing a service or product as your results may vary.

We're all familiar with Groupon and their numerous discounted goods and services in every state in the United States and even abroad, am I right?

I don't know many people who don't know what Groupon is these days; it's most definitely on it's way (if not there already) to becoming a household name and such a fantastic way to save money. In fact, I have a baby shower coming up in May and one of the stores she's registered at is Target.

Wouldn't you know there was a Groupon for a Target gift card that popped up not more than a week or so ago. Spend $10 and get a $20 gift card, essentially 50% off.

Uh, yes please!

Everyone knows about #Groupon but do you know about #GrouponCoupons? Nearly 65,000 #coupons with over 9,800 stores you shop at everyday! What store do you hope is on the list? #coupon

My Life with Chronic Pain & The Fay Farm Organic Warming CBD Muscle Rub

Disclaimer: I have been given this product as part of a product review through the Chronic Illness Bloggers network. Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company.

I hate to brag, but pain management is somewhat of a specialty of mine. Well, maybe not so much a "specialty" as a forced hobby. Being chronically ill and having chronic pain go hand-in-hand and with 12+ years of being in various amounts of daily pain, you try anything and everything that comes along just for a little relief or reprieve.

Of course there are the Western medications and therapies that are the go-to for pain management here in the United States but I've tried most of them and I either have adverse reactions or they're not good for my condition(s) which is why I try to use the 80/20 rule: 80% alternative treatments and therapies and 20% Western medications and treatments.

According to the Institute of Medicine of The National Academies nearly 110 million Americans suffer from chronic pain and the annual economic cost associated with chronic pain is estimated to be $560 to $635 billion* so I know I'm not alone in my journey to find relief!

Here are some of the things I've tried over the past 12+ years since I became chronically ill:

  • Hyperberic Oxygen Therapy
  • Massage therapy
  • Colonics
  • Homeopathy
  • Infrared sauna
  • Herbs and tinctures
  • Medical intuitive
  • Western pain medications (Fentanyl, Vicodin, Ultram, Diladid, etc)
  • Reflexology
  • Pain Management
  • Exercise
  • Clean eating
  • Acupuncture

And those are the things I remember off the top of my head!

One thing I have yet to try and is still very controversial in my state of Illinois (and the whole country for that matter) is medical marijuana and CBD oil as a form of pain management and treatment. I've heard fantastic things from people who have experience with these therapies and have wanted to give it a try for quite awhile.

Do you suffer from chronic joint or muscle pain? Have you considered trying CBD oil to help? Learn about The Fay Farm & their #organic CBD Muscle Rub! #chronicpain #jointpain #musclepain #naturalpainrelief

The past two years going to this expo as a blogger have been more than fantastic! Not only are there rows and rows of bigger and smaller name gluten free and/or allergen friendly companies to explore, chat with, and taste test, this 2 day conference offers several different professionals speaking and educating expo attendees on their specialties.

I've not been able to attend any of these educational classes in the past however this year I'm quite excited about Dan Chapman's class on "Natural Advancements in Pain Relief."

If you're curious, find out what classes are being offered this year!
