5 Reasons Traveling with the Microsoft Surface Pro is a Game Changer + Offer & Giveaway

Disclaimer: This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic. All opinions expressed in the below post are 100% mine and mine alone unless otherwise stated. Please do your own research before committing to purchase a product or service as your results may vary.

You know that feeling when you start falling in love? Everybody who has been in love knows that I'm talking about; Just the mere mention of them brings a big smile to your face that ultimately hurts your cheeks. The anticipation of seeing them face to face simultaneously gives you unstoppable butterflies and makes your heart race. They're the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning and the last thing on your mind when you go to bed.

Yeah, you know what I'm talking about.

While falling in love with a person is romantic and grand, in this particular context I'm actually not referring to a person at all...

This is exactly how I feel about travel. Just the mere mention of traveling fills me with so much emotion it's hard to keep it contained; I'm continuously falling in love with the world and all it's endless possibilities.

Hence my obvious transition to a travel website! Of course with limited funds and health issues I can't just go full force into things like my heart, mind, and soul would like me to, especially with building my website back up and making a name for myself as a travel blogger.

With being a travel blogger though you also need to have the right equipment. Things like, but not limited to, a cell phone with a decent camera and access to the internet, a nice standalone camera to be able to capture pictures you're proud to share on your blog and social media channels, and, of course, a computer or tablet that is easily transportable from one travel adventure to another such as the extremely portable Microsoft Surface Pro from the Microsoft Store.

Unlike my current large, bulky, and heavy laptop that is a bit of a pain to lug around, the Microsoft Surface Pro is quoted to be 'the tablet that replaces your laptop' and is designed to be ultrathin, fast, and versatile, perfect for not only what I'm interested in pursuing, but anybody who leads an on-the-go lifestyle.

5 reasons why #traveling with the Microsoft Surface Pro is a game changer + save $150 NOW! Don't forget to enter to the $500 #giveaway! #travel #technology

Regardless of if you're already a successful travel blogger, an aspiring travel blogger like myself, or just enjoy traveling without the responsibility of blogging here are 5 reasons why traveling with the Microsoft Surface Pro is a game changer:

  1. Portability. Of course when you're constantly on the road in a car, on a crowded plane for long hours, or backpacking across whichever country has hold of your heart at that moment, having a reliable way to communicate and express yourself is essential. This piece of technology is less than 2 lbs so can easily go wherever you go without adding pain (neck, back, shoulders...) to your travels. As someone who deals with daily chronic pain, this is fantastic!
  2. Best of both worlds. It's a tablet. It's a laptop. Technically speaking, it truly is a tablet but with laptop capabilities. Aside from many other things, this unit comes equip with touch screen, is lightweight, and extremely portable like a tablet but contains the customizable power of a laptop (storage, processor, etc.). You're even able to purchase things like a compatible keyboard, mouse, and other accessories separately to make it even more a hybrid.
  3. Versatility. Are you a travel blogger like I aspire to be? A student trying to make their way through school? An artist of any variety? A film maker? The Surface Pro comes pre-loaded with Windows 10, a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to download and run professional grade software so regardless of what you are or what you want to be, this piece of technology has the versatility to help you achieve your dreams and goals.
  4. Ability to connect. Wherever you are in the world whether it be traveling on your own accord, being away for school, re-locating for a job, or whatever else might keep you away from family and friends, your ability to connect to your loved ones in between visits is vital! You want to let them know your safe, doing well, and you want to make sure the same for them. With this Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled tablet and its face-authentication front and rear facing camera, stereo microphone and speakers you'll be able to stay connected between those cherished visits.
  5. Customization. Like mentioned above, depending on what you need it for, the Microsoft Surface Pro can be customized according to your needs; you have the ability to choose up to 4 options for your storage (SSD) capacity and 3 processor (core) options, not to mention all the apps and professional programs that are compatible. That's a lot of options!

My first solo trip to New York City in 2010

Even if you're not a travel blogger trekking across the world, or at the very least across the country, as you can see above the Microsoft Surface Pro is for anyone who lives an active, on the go lifestyle; a busy student, an entrepreneur, or even a stay at home mom who wants to keep on top of running your household.

With the holidays fast approaching (less than 3 weeks away!) do you know someone who would appreciate and benefit from this sleek and practical gift wrapped up nicely under their tree? If so, take advantage of Microsoft's offer: Save $150 on the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i5 128GB now through 12/24!

If you plan on purchasing the Surface Pro or anything else from the Microsoft Store they also offer free shipping and free returns, plus an extended Holiday Return & Exchange Policy! I don't expect to find any expensive gifts under the tree, but if I were playing make-believe, it would be fun to find a Lenovo Z50-75 Signature Edition Laptop. :) Merry Christmas, everyone, and I hope everyone finds joy with friends, family, and in helping others!

I started using a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard 20 years ago and have used nothing else since. I have purchased 3 since then and always could use a backup! Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop keyboard is the best! This keyboard is perfect to reduce fatigue!

Under a tree this year, I'd like to find, among other items, the Microsoft HoloLens (holographic computer). I'm interested in seeing how it is.

I would love to see the HP Notebook 15-ay191ms Signature Edition Laptop under my tree this year. I have a great need for a new laptop as mine is 4 years old and has a crack on the left hinge running straight through the base next to the fan--might start a fire if I don't get a new laptop soon!

I'd love to wake up Xmas morning to a Surface. An Ipad is great, but the Surface seems more practical for getting work done, but also allowing for fun/entertainment.

Deon Mensah said...

I just want a Surface Studio from the Microsoft Store. This will greatly help with my photography editing and hobbies

mkboldin said...

Wish Microsoft would sell some standalone software but it appears they have gone the way of Adobe with Photoshop and Lightroom and require one to pay via monthly subscription in order to get all the programs one desires. Therefore I would like to find a subscription for Office 365 for up to 5 PCs under our family tree. With the family taken care I would also love to find a treat just for myself. Bragi Dash wireless smart earphones look like just the ticket. I'd be able to ditch my phone and my fitness tracker during my workouts. That in and of itself is worth the price of admission alone. Cheers!

I've heard nothing but good things about the Surface Pro. A friend of mine has one and uses it for graphic art. It's light and small, perfect for carrying around. I love that you can get a case/keyboard that simply attaches to it with really no additional bulk. I've also seen him use the security feature where when you log in, the Pro does facial recognition and then allows you access.

Jenine Herrell said...

Also I forgot to add that I actually would love a Surface Pro for myself. I believe the newest version is the Surface Pro 4? That would be fantastic to have to take with me instead of my husband's clunky and very heavy laptop.

Christine Labelle said...

I would love a Surface Pro. This is not something I would ever dream of seeing under my tree, but it is nice to think about.

I have been wanting a SurfacePro ever since I saw the first commercial for it.

Your blog was very interesting. I have never heard of loving travel just as much as loving a person. The Microsoft Surface Pro looks like a very good choice for a table that can ease and efficiency. I am very interested in purchasing.

It would be an awesome surprise to find a Microsoft HoloLens Development Edition under my Christmas tree. I love exploring new technology and the virtual reality world is my new venture. I'm pretty sure this is the top of the line for the virtual world so it should work just perfectly.

I have wanted a Surface for a while. The larger one (12"?). I've got an iPad and am not really impressed. It is an older model, though. It is always so slow on the internet. I know it's not my connection (everything else in the house runs super fast). So I guess I'd be using this as a down payment for a Surface Pro :)

Thanks!

Kelli A. said...

I would love on of the Surface tablets, but these are out of my reach right now. I like the Dell laptops quite a bit. It is what I had in the past and currently use. My choice from what I saw available today is the Dell Inspiron 17 i5759-8837SLV Signature Edition Laptop. I would love to get one for my husband. I think it is about time he got one too. Then there is the latest Xbox one edition...This may have been easier to answer what do I not want from their site! ;) Thanks and Merry Chirstmas!

Esther Swartz said...

I would love to get the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. Since my son ended up with my iPad, having the Pro 4 would allow me to work from home without lugging a laptop around or having to use a desktop.

Michelle said...

If I won, I'd choose to apply the gift card towards the Lenovo Yoga 910. Why choose that instead of simply using the gift card to get a computer free and clear?

I'm a bit of a geek. Looking at the specs on it, it's got very good battery life (15.5 hours...great if you are on a VERY long flight without power outlets or on a long bus ride!), the i7 processor is such where it's powerful and won't be obsolete for a few years (powerful enough to run PhotoShop and edit video/audio if you want to make a movie or do poscasting), and at 3 pounds and 13.9 inches, it's small/lightweight to carry. I have a camera case that has a section it would fit into perfectly. Weight and size are definitely things to take into consideration when traveling.

BTW...look into traveling to Peru. I've been there several times. It's a beautiful country, the food is simply divine, and the exchange rate is in your favor. If you go, there is a Facebook group for expats, and they are very good with advice on places/things to do/safety. Also, you really should take a look at SCOTTeVest. Their clothes make it possible to carry your electronics with you, yet conceal them...making you less of a target when overseas, carrying them with you wather than packing them in checked/carryon luggage.

My name is Orlando Figueroa and I have nothing really much to receive this holiday season. I am in a big need for a new computer as my older one is basically on it's last legs. I just turned 18 and my family is facing some problems when it comes to money and all I need this year is a new computer for the new year and it would be a very big oppurtunity to get a new computer like a surface pro for instance and be able to do what I love which is draw, animate, and design plus once I start college I am planning to get in the field of meteorology and I definitely need a new and better device that can help me edit and do essays on the new device. So I would really love and appreciate it if I was to win this gift card

I would love to find the Dell Inspiron 15 i5559-3333SLV Signature Edition Laptop under my tree. I have owned Dell in the past and I think that they are a reliable workhorse. Sometimes my wrists get tired typing and it breaks up movement to change selection to the screen. Thanks for the chance.

The Dell Inspiron 15 i5559-3333SLV Signature Edition Laptop would be ideal for me.

I am a disabled vet whose eyesight is diminishing and not a whole lot of income to buy anything electronic...the backlit keyboard on there would help immensely.

Right now, this laptop is hit or miss...hardly any memory left and each day is a surprise on whether it will turn on and function or not.

I'm pretty much home bound now, so this would be the ticket for me to continue being connected to family and friends....and to the outside world as a whole.

Thanks for the opportunity to try and win.
