Come Join Me at Chicago's Gluten Free Allergen Friendly Expo #GFAFExpo

There was gluten free goodness in 2014 and allergen friendly deliciousness in 2015, so for the 3rd year in a row, this very lucky girl and her trusty gluten free nutritionist best friend Hannah of The Wholey Trinity will be attending Chicago's biggest yearly dedicated gluten free conference, the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo happening May 14th & 15th!

Note legit official expo blogger speaking, just take a gander at the badge...

The past two years going to this expo as a blogger have been more than fantastic! Not only are there rows and rows of bigger and smaller name gluten free and/or allergen friendly companies to explore, chat with, and taste test, this 2 day conference offers several different professionals speaking and educating expo attendees on their specialties.

I've not been able to attend any of these educational classes in the past however this year I'm quite excited about Dan Chapman's class on "Natural Advancements in Pain Relief."

If you're curious, find out what classes are being offered this year!

Did I mention all the delicious gluten free and allergen friendly foods and products that are featured? If these expos have taught me nothing else in the past 2 years, it's that you go on a seriously empty stomach because you will be eating your way through from the time you arrive until the time you leave!

Companies like Enjoy Life, Glutino's, Bakery on Main, Pamela's Products, Udi's, and so many more offering their delicious products for sample and purchase (at discounts to boot!). Not to mention non-food related companies offering their healthy wares as well.

A full list of 2016 sponsors and exhibitors can be found here if you're interested in taking a look.

I've come away with many different things, physical and non-physical, these past two years attending the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly expo but one of the main things they have taught me is I'm extremely grateful to live in a time where there is so much variety and innovation when it comes to being gluten free and suffering from food related allergens.

From the expo attendies, bloggers and non-bloggers alike, to the sponsors, to chatting with the smaller local vendors, hearing everyones' stories on why is incredibly moving and inspirational.

Yes, gluten free is a trending "fad" the past few years and therefore sometimes doesn't get the seriousness it deserves but when it comes right down to it being gluten free and/or allergen friendly is not a choice for some people; it's a necessity. A way of life that absolutely has to be followed.

In some instances it's life or death.

Thankfully for me being gluten free is a choice. Granted it's a choice that I probably should opt to be gluten free and allergen friendly most of the time anyway because, while I love any and all kids of foods, some foods just don't love me...

Feel like you're in the same boat? Why not join me for this year's Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo in Schaumburg, Illinois on Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th?

Tickets can be purchased here for one or both days of the expo and if you act fast you can use these discount codes to save on your ticket prices:

That sounds like a good opportunity to see what's being offered other than the standard gluten-free products found at the grocery store.

Have you found that being gluten-free helps out with your Lyme's at all?
