A New Way to Store & Share Family Memories with RealTimes + $300 Giveaway #RealTimes

This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic. All opinions expressed below are 100% mine and mine alone unless otherwise specified. Please do your own research before you commit to buying a particular good or service as your results may vary.

When my sister and I were much younger my mom loved capturing our every moment on film, and by every moment I do mean EVERY moment; I'm pretty sure there's a blurry close up picture of my dad and I eating ice cream on the couch....Anyway since we didn't have a digital camera back then, she lived on disposable cameras and the shelves filled with numerous photo boxes of picture after picture of memories in the basement proves that!

That love of capturing memories was passed along. To ME! Of course I continued the tradition of disposable cameras up until my family gifted me my very first digital camera when I was 17 back in 2007. Not counting the handful of scanned printed pictures from my childhood that are on my laptop, I have numerous pictures and photo albums dating all the way back to 2007.

On a somewhat unrelated note I think I was destined to be a blogger even before it became a blip on my radar because even back then my camera and I were inseparable!

As a blogger, jewelry designer, and amateur photographer I take pictures of all kinds of things but my favorite pictures are the ones of my family. As it is both my parents aren't too fond of having their pictures taken and my sister essentially lives up in Wisconsin and we don't get to see her very often so family photos are very far and few in between and very, very precious.

You don't think about it in real time but it's amazing, in picture format, seeing how myself and my family have changed since 2007.

What if, Universe forbid, something happened to all my pictures I've been storing up since 2007, not just on my computer but on my smartphone as well? A careless tip of a glass of water (true story unfortunately) or a accidental slip of the hand into a waiting toilet (again, another true story) can wipe out your pictures entirely if nothing is backed up, at the very least on social media.

I was lucky enough to keep my old computer running after that water incident but the phone that got dumped in the toilet...lost ALL those pictures. It was a hit but thankfully that was just small scale; it would be beyond devastating if something happened on a larger scale to all those priceless family memories.

I can tell you as a blogger and an avid lover of photography my camera goes where I go whether it be digital or phone (or both most of the time) and I snap sporadically; nothing is safe from the lens and if they're with me my family knows to duck and cover when I'm on a photo kick! Thanks to digital and video cameras, it's easier than ever to take countless pictures and short films of my family and friends and share them across every social media platform you can imagine which I've done numerous times over.

What if things got even easier than that? Imagine those numerous pictures and videos you take on a daily basis all seamlessly and easily organized into one simple slideshow to keep and share with family and friends near and far away.

With RealTimes you can spend less time organizing, editing, and posting each individual picture and video and, instead, instantly and automatically create montages that are perfectly organized by location and date just from your media, thus enabling you to spend less time on the computer and more time capturing countless more priceless memories!

I need to look into this. I have a ton pictures on my phone that I have never printed and REALLY need to. My phone is getting too full, besides I really want to print some of them off and hang on the wall.

Such a great program! I lost hundreds of pictures a few years ago when I lost my phone. How sad!

A personal cloud drive backs up and protects all of your special moments, so you’ll never lose them. LOVE THAT FEATURE AND I LIKE THE ACCESS ANYWHERE ANYTIME FEATURE IT FORMATS TO FIT ANY DEVICE EVEN THE TV IT WOULD COME IN HANDY DURING UPCOMING EVENTS TO BE HOME AND SHOW CASE OUR TIME WE WENT ON VACATION AND I WOULD NEVER HAVE TO WORRY IF I DELETED SOMETHING

My hard drive crashed about 6 months ago and I lost hundreds of pictures. This would have saved me so much heartache.

I have been the proud of owner of at least two laptops and two desktop in the last 12 years that have crashed and have had pictures lost, so I would love the personal cloud feature and I like the auto-organized timeline feature because I never know when I have taken a picture and the ability to use that to create a live album

This looks like such a cool service for me. I like how user-friendly they make everything so that it is super easy to use.

What a great giveaway. I have storage but one of my daughters does not and I will look into this for her as she is traveling in Australia. Your so lucky to have your mom I lost mine almost 5 years ago hold her tight :)

I always back up my photos. I learned the hard way to back everything up. It is terrible to lose them. I will have to check this out for sure.

I like that it is a product of RealPlayer, a product I've used for a long time! But then also I know the hassle of cropping and editing dozens of photos then having to upload them to sites. I like that not only does RealTimes do all that for you, I can upload it as a montage or collage ! How cool is that! Takes your pictures to a whole new level!

I need too start backing up my stuff. I would hate to loose all my photos. I am going to try this out tonight.

We picked up a disposable camera for the kids to use a couple weeks ago They were so confused how it worked. This sounds like a great service!

Looks like a fun way to store and edit all those great photos. I haven't had a phone incident yet (knock on wood!), but I can imagine how devastating that would be.

Allie D said...

Love how much storage space they offer! Really need to check out RealTimes.

Aimee Smith said...

This is such a great way to organize years and years of photos! I certainly need help with that!

Marie Moody said...

Customize and Create. I think I like this option the best where I get to customize my own photos story. The clips in my story how would anyone know their right place, but me. The adding of the filters, music and more... now that really sounds intriguing. Just like Frankie... I want to "Tell it my way!"

bhoppe76 said...

I like that I can customize my pictures and order what I'd like.

gannyofshy said...

I love that you can create it and customize it the way they have it it is very cool and I am going to sign up as soon as I finish this entry, I have never heard of them but I will be trying it out and sharing with my family

Meghan Minihan said...

I really like the fact that it automatically puts your photos in order by the date that they were taken. I have so many photos and I feel like this feature would really help me find a specific photo much more quickly instead of searching through literally thousands of others!

Holly B said...

I love that you can create montages and easily share them! This would be so cool to share our trip photos with family!

MichelleS said...

The feature that I like the best is the sharing capabilities on social network to share with distant friends and relatives instead of having to individually email people, post it where they can all see.

Adriana Saucedo said...

I like that you can store pics in a secure cloud.

Lee said...

I think the most important feature is the cloud storage, so that you never lose your pictures. I've had a computer just give out all of the sudden without warning, and my sister lost all her baby and child photos when Katrina hit. Some things are too valuable to be casual about.

Thank you so much for blogging about photos. It's always on my mind to back up my photos and this will make it so easy.

LuckyCat said...

This is good to know and I will have to check into this. Too many photos on my phone and I would hate to lose them.

hayley schermerhorn said...

I like that it is easy to organize and manage pictures and videos! I always find pictures to be overwhelming when I have so many and they are not in a specific order.

Anonymous said...

What I really like about this product is the ability to create individual montages customized for whomever I want to send them to....awesome!

Kerri Hebard-Massey said...

I love that this automatically creates little videos. Gramma loves videos, but they're time consuming and I barely manage to get regular pictures to her!

VectoringMomma said...

I LOVE the idea that all my photos can be stored in the cloud & not taking up space on my computer/phone or get lost on a card!!! :D

Sheryl Cerniglia said...

All my pictures are backed up on an external hard drive. I never thought about it not working. Time to look into other options.

Angela Hendricks said...

Something that appealed to me was RealTimes Stories - Beautiful montages are auto-created from your photo and video memories, instantly. I really like this because I am really bad about taking lots of pictures but never doing anything with them. They just sit on my phone forever! This would really help me!

Amy Schwalm Daza said...

I can access it anywhere. How convenient.

Abby said...

I think it's so cool that the videos can be customized and music added to them. My brother just sent me one of these and I was wondering how he did it! I will use this for sure.

greentopiaries said...

I am awful, awful, awful at organization so the fact that it auto-organizes is a feature that I will love! Thank you for the chance!

Michelle Vandaley said...

I love that it stores all of your pictures in one place. I really like that it can make a video Montage of your still pictures

1993wel said...

I like that this would save all of your photos to a virtual cloud. I panic at the thought of my computer crashing and losing years of photos, and this would bring peace of mind.

JessyPooh87 said...

I like how you can access it anywhere and on anything. So no matter where you might be you can use it and not have to worry about losing anything.

I like that it organizes your albums by real time because I don't have time to organize all my photos by time lapse so this helps a lot

Rise Isom said...

I like the fact that you can backup your memories to a cloud. You do not need to worry about loss of these precious things

Bob said...

Kayla, thanks for the info on RealTimes. I've recently been worried about this. I currently use an external hard drive, but obviously the cloud is much better. I'm more interested in a free option. Do you know of anything that gives you a decent amount of storage for free?

Amanda Surles said...

I like that memories are accessible from anywhere and can be shared with others easily.

How lovely that you have some many happy family memories and have captured them in pictures. I was going to say "on film" but I'm just dating myself :)

I hope that you and your family are doing well.
