Cut, Color & Change

With a new attitude towards life come new, exciting and sometimes hard and challenging changes. Like the old saying goes, change is inevitable! Regardless of which direction I'm headed in right now, I've been feeling that this present shift is a new beginning for my life, both physically and metaphorically speaking.

I needed something physical to commemorate the positive changes happening, so what better way to gradually accept the flow of things then get a new do?

It's a small enough change that it won't be TOO crazy, but bold enough to satisfy my craving for vast and big changes...for now ;)

The hair color was done by none other than my sister and mother; they double teamed it while we were on vacation because individually they were scared to do it on their own for fear of making me look, for lack of a better word, hideous.

I put my faith and trust into both of them and even though it's not as bold as I wanted it to be (yes, I said I wanted it to be more outlandish), I really do love the way it turned out!

What do you think? Does a nice haircut or color make you feel like a new person?

Looks good, and I can tell by your smile that you are happy. For a moment, I thought I was going to see purple :-)

Love it! They did a great job :) I've often daydreamed of doing a good block of color, but I keep putting it off for some reason.

Love it.... a great haircut for the summer.

I was told many years ago that when you can't control other things in your life, you can always control your hairstyle. I was working on a big project, many deadlines, long days and lots of work for a couple of months. During that time I noticed that 4 of us (3 girls and 1 guy) got MAJOR haircuts and styles. It feels good to me when I can't control other things... I am in control of my hairstyle. It makes me feel good.
