St. Dalfour Gourmet on the Go Gluten Free Entrees *Review*

I've been unfortunately having a lot of issues eating as of late, so finding something that's healthy, organic, gluten free and something that doesn't give me a reaction when I eat it is becoming increasingly hard.

So, as many of you know I'm always on the lookout for new and unique products to introduce into my diet that I can actually eat without issues.

This was exactly the case when I came across St. Dalfour and their healthy, organic and gluten free line of products--I knew as soon as I saw 'gluten free' I had to try them!

A little about St. Dalfour:

"St. Dalfour is a privately owned family company under the same ownership since its founding in 1984. The St. Dalfour production facility is located in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, an area known for centuries of culinary excellence as well as the famous wines of Bordeaux. St. Dalfour produces only under its own brand, so commitment to quality, healthy eating, and superior taste is unwavering and never subject to compromise."

From their famous fruit preserves, honey and dried fruit to their green and black teas to their newest addition, Gourmet on the Go gluten free entrees, St. Dalfour specializes in keeping their products healthy, natural and simple!

For this particular review, I was sent 2 of their 4 Gourmet on the Go line of Gluten-free ready to eat entrees.

First up, Ready to Eat Wild Salmon with Vegetables.

I'm a big fan of fish in general so I think I was excited about this entree the most! I also have to say after I tried both the entrees I was sent, I do believe this one was my favorite.

I really enjoyed this mixture of potatoes, carrots, legumes alongside the salmon and the whole thing in general had such a great flavor.

The only complaint I'd have is the salmon does leave a little fishy aftertaste, but thankfully it's not too overwhelming!

Second on the list, Ready to Eat Three Beans with Sweetcorn!

While I do quite enjoy different kinds of beans on occasion, they're not my favorite things to eat, so this entree was a little hard to get through.

That being said however, the flavor and consistency of everything else were wonderful!

I just ended up pairing this with some gluten free crackers for that added crunch I needed because I felt the beans were a little too mushy on their own for my tastes.

Regardless how you like your beans, this is definitely a winner!

In regards to both of the entrees I received, I was very impressed with...well, pretty much everything! Not only are the packages compact and perfect for on-the-go traveling (hence the name), the folks at St. Dalfour thought about everything; each entree came with it's own spork and condiments specific to the dish itself.

The biggest thing that impressed me about these entrees are their versatility; you can eat them as they are or pair them with several different things! I enjoyed the salmon meal on it's own but with the 3 beans meal, I chose to pair it with some crackers. If you wanted to, you could probably top rice with both of these meals, or, if you're not a vegan, you could even pair them with meat of some kind.

The possibilities are pretty endless!

I had a close observer as I ate my meal...

Those do look like good gluten free options! Glad you found a way to eat the second one to make it crunchier for you :) I know a lot of people who won't eat certain things because of the texture....uh me for one lol. I won't eat gummies! I don't like that feeling at all!
