The Soothing Company: Dwarf Jade Bonsai Tree *Review*

I cannot begin to tell you how long I've wanted a Bonsai Tree. Don't ask me why because for the life of me I couldn't give you legitimate reasons why I'm obsessed with these miniature trees; all I've known is they're the coolest plants and I. Wanted. One!

Not only that, but I've been told they're pretty sturdy when it comes to living, so my blacker-than-black thumb (hopefully) couldn't kill one.

Thanks to Soothing Company, I FINALLY was able to achieve my lifelong dream of owning one of these little beauties!

A little about The Soothing Company:

The Soothing Company offers hundreds of soothing products for your home and office on their website. Everything from outdoor wall fountains to bonsai trees to wall mounted fireplaces. You can find anything to turn your home or office into a sanctuary to help relax and sooth the body and mind!

For this review, The Soothing Company graciously agreed to send me one of their Bonsai trees and I was lucky enough to choose which one I wanted!

I ended up going for their gorgeous Indoor Dwarf Jade Bonsai Tree. I figured I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to taking care of plants, especially bonsai trees, so I'd opt for something a little more simple.

I was quite curious to see how this tree would come, so I eagerly anticipated it's arrival!

Let me just say when it did arrive, that tree was beyond safe and sound...in a box full of styrofoam packing peanuts. It took my mom and I a good 15 minutes to dig it out and get it out of the box!

Now THAT'S what I call safe.

When we finally were able to dig the tree out (so...many... peanuts...) and remove it from the box, the first thing that hit me was it's aroma; you wouldn't think a simple tree like this would have a scent, but it did and I must say it was absolutely glorious! A mixture of clean and crisp with a little bit of sweetness that reminded you of being outdoors in the spring surrounded by a lush and thriving garden.

The second thing I noticed was the beautiful ceramic pot the tree came potted in. It's a perfect proportion for the tree and the bottom allows water to escape when watering the tree so you don't have to worry about over-watering.

Speaking of which, that's another nice thing about this product! You only have to give it a good water every 5 to 7 days.

For someone like me who doesn't have a lot of experience with plant-like living things, I really appreciated the informative and clear instruction manual that accompanied the tree, as well as the big yellow tag around the bottom of the tree that also had clear instructions on how to take care of it.

This beautiful Dwarf Jade Bonsai Tree is a wonderful addition to our household and definitely invokes a calming feeling every time I see it. Plus everyone in the house things it's pretty neat as well!

I can't really say there was anything I didn't like about the product or Soothing Company. They were a pleasure to work with, have lovely and quality products, and made sure the product got to me safely and efficiently. I have no problem saying I would work with or buy from them again in the future!

That is SO cute! I'd love one, but fear my black thumb would have a hand in its doom. :/
