Resolutions, Tropicana Trop50 and *Giveaway*

I know it's nearly the end of January (already!?), but I want to bring up those dreaded New Year's Resolutions! Since it's nearly been a month since the rollover from the big 11' to the even bigger 12,' I want to know how you're doing with your resolutions!

Are you sticking to them like glue? Have you been wavering a little bit here and there? Or have you given up on your resolutions entirely and are waiting for the next New Year to start again?

Honestly, I'm not big on setting resolutions for myself when the New Year hits. Sure, the new-year-new-you attitude sets in, but what makes a person thing you can only better yourself when it's the New Year? You can better yourself ALL 365 (in 2012's case, 366) days of the year!

A few of my personal goals for this year:

*Exercise more, even if that day I'm only able to do some stretching.
*Continue to eat healthy. I already eat very healthy, but there's always room for improvement, right?
*Learn to relax!

Thanks to Tropicana and it's newest addition to the Tropicana family, the Trop50, those people who have anything to do with being healthy on their resolution or yearly goal list will be quite happy!

"Trop50 got its name as a result of the marriage of Tropicana and “50 percent” less sugar and calories. Tropicana Trop50 is a breakthrough innovation from Tropicana that offers 50 percent less sugar and calories, and no artificial sweeteners. Trop50 is the first juice beverage to be naturally sweetened with an all-natural stevia-based sweetener. Trop50 is designed to help manage weight goals by offering reduced sugar and calories, without sacrificing great taste"

You can visit and like Trop50 on Facebook and check out their latest contest:

"Trop50 True Resolutions celebrates the real reasons behind New Year’s resolutions. Share your secret motivation and you’ll earn a coupon for $1 off Trop50 for yourself and 50¢ off coupons for up to 50 of your friends. You can even submit incognito with a fierce disguise. Bonus: Whether you submit a resolution or not, you can also enter a sweepstakes to win a $1000 gift card."

Speaking of contests, the lovely folks at Tropicana have provided a great jump start on the whole, 'learn to relax' resolution/goal for those of us that have it on our lists...

I'm Gettin' me an Edumacation!

The last time anybody heard, I was involved in not one, but TWO online classes at my local community college that started last Fall and SHOULD have got done a little before Christmas, but for particular reasons, I'm still waiting to finish at least one of those classes up.

I'm actually pretty proud of myself that even through a crisis, I was able to keep a steady head and do what I can to finish those classes; even if I had to take an incomplete because I couldn't take both class's finals on time.

Now that I'm doing considerably better (thank goodness!), I was able to contact my Psychology teacher and get that test done a few days ago, to which I received a 89.3%! If you know me, you know I'm a perfectionist through and through, so A's are always, ALWAYS what I aim for and I think B's are the devil's work!

Okay, so that was a little dramatic...

We'll just say B's have always disappointed me even though it's a considerably good grade. Don't worry though, I am working on that outlook.

B's are wonderful! B's are wonderful! B's are wonderful!

Anywho, I find it great that my final grade in the General Psychology class is a 89.95%. 0.5% away from an A.

Someone is testing me here....

B's are wonderful! B's are wonderful! B's are WONDERFUL!

General Psychology is over and done with, so that's what is most important. Now, Introduction to Business on the other hand, is giving me some issues. I should actually say the TEACHER is giving me some issues! This teacher agreed back in December to give me an incomplete and allow me to take the test when I was able to. I've contacted said teacher at least 5 times within the past couple weeks and I haven't heard anything except, "I have to review your situation before we proceed."

I just want to be able to take the darn thing and get it over and done with!

These are actually the first two classes I've been able to get through fully without dropping out because of health related issues since Spring of 2010. I'm very proud that I was able to stick to them both and gain a total of 6 more credits (3 per class)!

I now have a grand total of almost 15 credits under my belt :)

Slowly but surely people, slowly but surely.

Health Update Thursday(1/19)

I know many of you are quite curious as to my health status at this point in time-I can't say I'm completely better then I was about a month ago when I took my blogging leave, but I can't say I'm worse either.

The truth is I AM better and I'm continuing to get better, but it's slow. Very, very slow, frustrating, and confusing to say the least.

I'm still trying to put together what happened back in November and December in a post because it was a very long and extremely painful process for me including ER visits, hospitals stays, a minor surgery and a lot of scary, which involved one of my ovaries.

As of right now though, like I said, things are getting better thanks in large part to my medical intuitive whom we fell back upon during the past few months when things got rough and whom has definitely made the most sense in all of this.

I've been taking the herbs, vitamins, and supplements that she recommends religiously and, like everything else in this crazy disease, I have my good days and I have my bad. The thing I've learned quite quickly: It can change in a matter of minutes, so enjoy the good while it lasts and work through the bad to have more good.

Because of everything going on, I see many different symptoms on a daily basis-One day it'll be feet so sore that I have to wear slippers to even walk on them and the next it will be a horrible migraine right out of the blue. Yesterday, I woke up with chest pain that continued throughout the whole day, which I haven't had in a while.

Of course, that doesn't include the normal, everyday joint, muscle and nerve pain, overall body stiffness, trouble walking, brain fog, etc.

We've figured out a lot of my issues comes down to detox. My M.I. calls it 'wasting' where I will eat something, take my supplements, exercise, etc to kill off all the toxins that are circulating around in my body, however my body can't naturally detox on its own, so once I start killing, there's no where for the toxicity to go.

So, I'm sure it goes without saying that blogging for me is going to be a little touch and go due to everything going on with my health and how sporadic life is-Just know that I'm around and I'm taking advantages of those good days when they're there and working through those bad to get to more good :)

Thank you all for sticking with me and for all your love, support, kindness, thoughts and prayers. Aside from all the supplements, doctors and treatments, that is what helps heal me, too.

Until next time!

Happy 90th Birthday Betty!

Happy 90th Birthday to Betty "My Goddess" White!

Enjoy some of these great B.W. picks I've lovingly selected for your entertainment and to honor her in her 90th year::

And of course I have to plug Betty's new television show, Off Their Rockers. My family and I watched this last night and we all D.I.E.D.

My sides hurt so bad from laughing so hard!!

Betty White is an icon in not only television, but in life as well. She's done so much for different charities, especially anything involving animals and animal rights.

She is truly, in my opinion, one of the greatest people on this earth today and she will forever be a legacy.

I'm convinced she's going to live forever xD

*quickly knocks on wood*

And on the off chance she's actually reading this, Betty, you are my goddess! Happy 90th birthday to one of the most amazing individuals in my eyes ^.^

Again with the Sleep Texting!?

**Before you read on, I must warn this as a TMI post. You have been warned!**

I don't have to worry about sleep talking (at least I don't think so anyway). What I do have to worry about, however, is sleep texting.

You may or may not have read about the sleep text conversation between my boyfriend and I awhile back. If you haven't, definitely check it out for a few kicks and giggles :)

Anyway, the other night I had a dream and all I can remember of it was I got the woman's monthly curse and asked my boyfriend to go get me a pad, to which he returned with one of those really dinky ones. Well, that wouldn't do, so I lovingly informed him, "I need a bigger pad babe because I'm a heavy flow kinda girl."

Well, unbenounced to me at the time, I actually woke up from my dream and TEXTED my boyfriend this little gem:

"Just for future reference, I'm a heavy flow kinda girl."

I saw that when I woke up the next morning and nearly died of laughter.

Mailbox Monday(1/16)

Mailbox Monday divulges into the inner workings of my mailbox throughout the week. From books to jewelry to free samples to random magazines and letters-You never know what will be in the mail this week...

***********************************************************************

Since I've been gone for over a month+, I decided to just pick and choose a few things that I received since my last Mailbox Monday post...

Luna sent off these absolutely amazing holiday care package freebies to those who were lucky enough to snag one!

Guess you can call me Ms. Lucky ^.^

Inside you'll find a wonderful little holiday greeting post card, along with a full size Chocolate Peppermint bar (that didn't last very long) and a matching Chocolate Peppermint lip balm.

Thanks to my lovely Aunt and the present of money she gave me for my birthday, I was able to splurge on myself and get something I've wanted for ages...

The whole Golden Girls series!!

*squeal of pure delight*

Thanks to my cyber mommy Dolly of XmasDolly and a contest she ran, I was able to "walk away" for lack of a better term with a whole set of Carmex's new healing lotion :)

Another one of my wins, this time courtesy of Continuum Games of Mumfection.

Who doesn't love them some family games?! I really can't wait to play Family Talk with my boyfriend-We're always looking for new things to talk about :)

I won myself yet more lotion, this time from Burt's Bees through one of their holiday Facebook promotions!

It's milk and honey and it smells oh-so-delicious ^.^

Don't you love it when you receive freebies in the mail that you completely forgot you even applied for?

It's like a surprise in your mailbox everyday :)

I got a whole set of 3 different kinds of Oregon Chai teas that I'm quite excited to try.

What did you get in the mail this week?

Will YOU vote?

I know I've been MIA for awhile, but I hope to be back soon (I've actually been blogging a tiddly bit recently, so hopefully I'll be back as soon as Monday! And for those of you who get that tiddly bit reference, I salute you *salutes*)!

That being said, I don't normally do this, but I've entered a voting contest and I need your votes! Here's a little bit more regarding the contest:

What can YOU do with a dollar? Fold it, use it, donate it-whatever you can come up with-then show Wendy's on their Facebook page and you could win some awesome cash prizes, including a grand prize of $1,000.

Who couldn't use $1,000!?

Curious as to what I can do with MY dollar? Check this out:

"Upcycling my Dollar: I can buy old jewelry for $1 at thrift stores, garage sales, etc, take it apart, and upcycle it!"

There is no registration involved (unless you wish to show what you can do with YOUR dollar) and you can vote only once.

So, can you please head over and VOTE for me?! :)

P.s. If you are in the contest or plan on entering, leave me a link and I'll return the favor!

Happy New Year 2012!

Another year has come and gone and I'm left sitting here thinking to myself, "What the hell!?" Seriously, WHERE did this whole year go; 365 days. 52 weeks. 12 months. All gone in what seems like the blink of an eye.

Truth be told, 2011 hasn't been that great of a year for me-my health has been continuously bad off and on the whole year where most years I'm good for at least a couple months at a time. Things have happened that I will never forget, both good, bad, and life changing.

-I celebrated my 2 year blogoversary.
-I was able to see my boyfriend for the first time preform a show with his band, Case In Point.
-I celebrated my 1 year anniversary with the love of my life on August 3.
-I started my first few online classes in the Fall at the local community college.
-I turned 22.

I can't say 2011 was the best year I've ever had, but it was definitely one that made me grow. As for this upcoming year, I have high hopes; there is a pattern I seem to follow: 2008 was a good year. 2009 sucked. 2010 was a good year. 2011 sucked. 2012...?

I have a good feeling about 2012 *fingers crossed*

Now to take the time to thank each and every one of you, family, friend, sponsor, random passerby, alike for supporting me with your visits, words of encouragement, partnerships, and everything else you've offered me. You guys are what make blogging truly worthwhile :)

What were some of your highlights in 2011?

Slapdash Sunday(1/1)

Slapdash Sunday is a day for your proverbial week 'leftovers.' Is there something you wanted to say, but just forgot? Is there something you want to write about, but isn't worth a whole page? Do you have a random thought, funny or otherwise that needs to be written down?

That is what Slapdash Sunday is for!

***********************************************************************

I was chosen as Member of the Month on MyPoints.com!! I had submitted my picture and story a couple months back, but never heard or saw anything since then, so I just figured I had given it a try and it was time to forget about it.

Low and behold, one day last week I just opened up my weekly email from them and *BAM* my face was staring back at me :)

For those of you who don't know, MyPoints is a rewards site that gives you points for things like reading email, taking surveys, buying things, etc. I've already claimed 3 $25 gift cards and am on my way to a 4th! If you're interested, check it out and sign up HERE.

Hi, my name is Kayla and I'm completely addicted to the new, free app Tiny Tower.

*chorus* "Hi Kayla."

Seriously, I'm one of those people that once they start a game, they get sucked right in-Let's just say I had some dark days with Farmville, Youville, and Restaurant City before I gave them up cold turkey!
