Natural Makeup from Emani *Review & Giveaway*

My sister is the makeup wearer in this household. Actually, she's pretty much the girly one of the two of us and knows what she wants in her makeup, where to get it, and she's not afraid to spend the $$$ for it!

I can't say the same only because I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to being girly. I know the basics, but go more in-depth than that and you've lost me.

One thing I do know regarding my makeup is, like anything else in my life, it has to be healthy! If I can't understand the ingredients in it, let alone pronounce those ingredients' names, it sure as heck isn't going on my body.

This brings me to introduce the latest company in my search for healthy makeup and beauty products: Emani!

About Emani:

"EMANI gives a new twist to the perception of natural makeup. We believe that women should not have to sacrifice their health in the name of beauty.  At EMANI, we have devoted time to studying the human skin and the full impact that EMANI products will bear on women’s health. By using the naturally occurring minerals, organic extracts and pigments, and by keeping our products free of talc, paraben, gluten and harsh chemicals, we at EMANI have created a line of non-comedogenic, nature-based makeup that not only works with your skin and supports its natural vitality, but also feels luxurious and looks glamorous with beautiful finishes that are long lasting.  With EMANI products, women really can have it all."

Products from Emani range from mascaras and eye shadows, mineral and matte foundations, lipstick and lip gloss, blush, professional makeup tools, and more!

Not only do they provide a wide variety of products, but they're products are truly quality; they promote being healthy, eco-friendly, and sustainable by keeping their products certified organic by the USDA, vegan and gluten friendly, cruelty free and also by utilizing sustainable and recycled resource!

For this particular review, I was sent my choice of two of Emani's newest eye shadow trios for the Fall season.

I had a total of five to choose from and I will admit, I had an issue choosing! They were all pretty great for different reasons.

Did I want to choose something dramatic or something tame? Something that says natural or something that says dramatic?

I went of the best of both worlds and got one I thought would look more natural (0406 Aqua Gold) and one on more of the dramatic side (0400 Tango).

What struck me when they first arrived was the packaging that contained the shadows; they're very compact and eye catching! Especially the logo on the top of both compacts.

I personally love the second thing that caught my eye, which you can find on the front of the package at the very bottom. Four aligned little green bubbles that signify Emani products are cruelty-free, recyclable, sustainable and vegan.

I first tried the Aqua Gold trio which I'm more familiar with because I use these same colors on a 'regular' basis with my other makeup.

Aside from the shadows being a somewhat light in appearance, I quite enjoyed the colors and the overall feel of the eyeshadow!

Then came the Tango, which I was a wee bit intimidated by due to the dramatic dark colors. I unfortunately don't think I did the trio justice with my application job, but the colors are quite gorgeous!

I can't wait to give it another go ^.^

The best part of both shadow trios was I didn't see any sort of a reaction when I used them and that's saying a LOT! I normally am very sensitive when it comes to makeup I put on or around my eyes.

Emani definitely wowed me with everything they're about and how they're doing their best to make high quality, eco-friendly, organic makeup that's actually good for the wearer rather then makeup that has a ton of nasty chemicals in it that's more than likely doing more harm than good.

Now my only problem: Coming up with an excuse to wear my new eyeshadows ;)
