Health Update Thursday(10/25)

Please don't yell at me! *winces*

I promise you, I haven't meant to go this long without a Health Update Thursday post. The good news is usually when I don't post, things are going pretty good. It's when I post that you've got to worry!

Which brings me to this week's post...

I had a pretty decent run for awhile there; not fabulous, but better than usual. I got to spend a couple of days at the boyfriend's house for two consecutive weeks which was such a lovely break from everything. Change of scenery. We even actually were able to do things like go out and have a date day (shopping at Goodwill, lunch at Olive Garden and a movie), something we haven't done in a good, long while due health and money restraints.

Then of course all good things have to end, at least for awhile. I started feeling really sick; extremely fatigued, horrible brain fog, dizziness, nausea all the time. Some days I can eat and some days I eat very little.

Then my legs started getting weak. When they weren't weak, they hurt incredibly bad.

Speaking of pain, boy oh boy am I in it constantly! It just never goes away and there's only so much I can do for it aside from medicating, which I can't really do much of anyway because I don't have anything to medicate with.

Detoxing is a slow process, so that's not much help either. Speaking of which, I know I promised to show you what the heck a footbath was awhile back, so I took pictures as visual aids:

This is the footbath in question I'm always referring to. When it's all set up, you have just enough water (as hot as you can take it because you'll be sitting in it for awhile; I usually do 45 minute runs) to cover your feet. You also have to make sure you add some form of salt (sea salt or epsom salt is best) to enhance the detox process.

This intriguing, funny looking device is called the Harmonic Quad. When plugged in and flipped on, it sends high frequencies in the form of electricity into your tissues and body that are gauged to kill whatever is ailing you.

When plugged into the footbath, it sends an electric current through the water (it's not dangerous, trust me-you just feel a wee bit of tingling or at most a small zap when the machine is flipped on) which promotes withdrawing the nasties out through your feet and into the water.

There's a specific way to plug these puppies in as well as hold them when you're just zapping and not doing the footbath. I'm not quite sure why, but I think it has something to do with the meridians in the body.

Red is always the left hand or side and black is always the right hand or side.

I really am attempting to keep chin up and head held high, but it's hard this setback around. I'm just so sick and tired all the time, it's starting to get to me. I will admit, there is problems with depression as of late, but I'm not sure if that's related to this situation or strictly Tom who's expected to visit soon.

Regardless, the pain, both mental and physical, is just relentless and never ending.

Tomorrow is another day though and with another day always comes renewed hope. In the meantime, I'm enjoying all the Halloween related programming on TV! Minus all the darn reruns.

So, do you bathe with a radio in your tub? lol I always wanted to know what it's like to be electrocuted and since you're alive to tell about it then it must not be as bad as the all that hype.

Putting all this silliness aside, I know detoxing one's body is a huge ordeal. I know from personnel experience as I had a particularly bad period in my life where toxins riddled my intestines making me feel deathly ill. Okay, it wasn't quit that horrible, but I lost lots of weight (got down below 100 at one point) and nearly everything I ate didn't agree with stomach. So, I can somewhat relate. Keeping a good attitude and trust in God are the key elements to getting you through this mess. I think you're doing alright, though. My prayers continue to be lifted up on your behalf, dearie. Big hugs to you, my friend!

Sure hope you get to feeling better soon. I've been watching the Halloween shows and movies too. I did a foot bath once at a clinic. It's definitely a different kind of experience, but it didn't hurt. There was all sorts of nasty sludge in the water when it was over with.
