Nick Gill: Waves Are Only Water *Review*

Many of my regular readers and fans know that my boyfriend is part of a band and I do whatever I can to support them and their dreams. That being said, I know how music is so, so, SO important in today's society and I do my best to support it in any way I can!

When I was contacted to do a feature and possible review for an independent artist and his newly released album, I jumped at the chance.

Introducing Nick Gill, a singer/songwriter currently based in Nashville, Tennessee and quite the talented young man in my opinion, especially after listening to his album, Waves Are Only Water.

As if writing enough material for an album wasn't accomplishment enough, the album was produced by Grammy award winning producer, Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz) in Franklin, Tn!

Containing 7 original songs, Waves Are Only Water is an interesting mix of rock, pop, and acoustic sounds with very soulful song lyrics and soothing vocals. You do notice a little southern twang in the singing, but it definitely adds to the charm of the album.

Unfortunately, like many indie artists in this day and age, Nick and his album gets lost in the 'shuffle' so to speak, but that's what makes it such a gem! I personally love discovering new artists and what they have to bring to the table and I very much enjoyed all 7 songs on this album.

There is definitely room for improvement and growing for this talented artist and hopefully we'll be able to grow improve and grow along with him as he continues to succeed in the music world!
