I'm Guilty of Weird Sleep Texting!

My boyfriend has a hard time sleeping at night.

With working 3rd shift at Wal-Mart, he goes in and gets off around midnight or one 1:00, and even though he's probably dead from the day's work (he unloads the trucks), he's too energized to sleep so he's up until all hours of the morning unfortunately.

I'm sometimes asleep by the time he gets off, but most of the time I talk to him after he's gotten off work on his way home and shortly thereafter, fall asleep. He texts me even though I've fallen asleep and I usually get them when I wake up in the morning.

The other night however, I guess he caught me in between one of my wake-up-half-dead-flip-over-fall-asleep-again cycles-Just a note before I share our spirited and extremely weird conversation with you: It's timestamped at 5:00 am to 5:30 am and I don't remember a thing.

Boyfriend: "I can't sleep :("

Me: "I'm sorry :("

Boyfriend: "What are you still doing up?"

Me: "You caught me flipping over."

Boyfriend: "Oh, well you should go back to sleep baby."

Me: "Maybe. I had a neat dream about ladybugs and moving but I couldn't remember my own name."

Boyfriend: "Lmfao. wow. That's interesting."

Me: "And there was a bus but it turned down the street and some homeless guy had my blue shoe."

Boyfriend: "You are the weirdest girl, I swear."

Me: "Yoou love me even if I don't have a name. Lol"

Boyfriend: "Lmao you can't prove it."

Me: "The ladybugs know so lol"

Boyfriend: "I'm saving these messages. This is the greatest thing I've ever heard lol"

Me: "Kaaaaay lok"

Boyfriend: "Lol were writing a book out of this"

Me: "And the ladybygs can aught it*"

Boyfriend: "Huh?"

Me: "They can sign it?"

{we believe the last text message from me was supposed to say sign instead of aught with a question mark}

Boyfriend: "Sure? Go to bed baby. You're out of it."

Me: "Not until I remember my name."

Boyfriend: "It's Jefferson. Now go to bed lol"

Me: "Grrr I'm breathing on myself. Kay bab gnite. I love you."

So. Yes. Interesting is the understatement of the year.

I am surprised and a little proud at how awesome my grammar is half-dead though :)

That's hilarious to me! I once fell asleep writing in my journal, the scrawl that danced vertically down the page echoed elements of insanity and genius... just probably too much of the first.

Kayla, that is just too funny! Sleep texting! I would be afraid of what I would text to my husband!

I've heard of "drunk-texting" but never sleep-texting... that's too funny.
I agree with Tom, to be young again.
I had vertigo the other day and my hubs texted me so I was trying to type on my iPhone with shaking fingers and waving letters. I tried to say that I didn't "feel good" but it came out "fey goof." So we use that all the time when I'm not up to par, I just tell him I don't "fey goof!"
So don't feel bad, you're not the only one. =)
