I'm Insured-Let's go Break Something!

I've been uninsured since the beginning of last October-6 whole months.

6 whole months of trying not to get sick {to no avail btw-at least it wasn't life-threatening}. Trying not to fall and break something. Trying not to need any sort of prescribed-prescription medication. Trying not to breath the wrong way for fear that I'd need medical attention because of it.

Since I'm not, and haven't been, in school full time, our insurance company, which I shall not mention here, refused to insure me under my parents name-Of course it didn't matter that I COULDN'T attend school due to legitimate health issues-If I wasn't clocking 12 credits per semester, I was outta there.

This wasn't new to us, though-Ever since I got sick 7+ years ago, it's been a raging, nonstop uphill battle with them and this was just the icing on the proverbial cake. We did everything to manage to stay on it as long as we could, but after a few warning letters, I was finally taken off.

Thanks to the new law passed, children and young adults up to the age of 26 years can legally stay covered under their parent's insurance, even if they aren't in school full time, so this gave us hope!

That is, until we STILL had to fight to get me back on. They finally relented, but unfortunately I had to wait until now, April 1st, because the insurance company's calender year goes from April to April.

But now it's April 1st, and I'm officially back on my parent's insurance!

So.....

I'm insured! Let's go break something ;)

Please don't break anything! Insurance companies suck bad, so I'm glad you got what you need, but try not to need it too much lol

Or even better now that you are covered you probably won't need it. Isn't that how it is suppose to go. Hopefully.
