Disappearing Act

As you know, I've been sick for quite some time now. A little over 6 weeks to be exact. Not only have I been stuck in bed the whole time, but I've missed 6 weeks worth of classes as well >.<

This wouldn't normally be bad because I'm always on top of things, but with a combination of my extreme pain, extreme brain fog, and BOTH of my teachers not working with me at ALL, I'm behind and I need to try to catch up.

I've tried calling and emailing my Intro. to Computer teacher multiple times, but I've got no response back at all-For that class, I just have to do my best and wing it. The thing that gets me is I actually TALKED to this teacher when the class started, explained my situation, and he told me that he would most definitely work with me, so not to worry one bit(his words).

For Philosophy, my teacher has given me a LITTLE more to work with; I've got a paper that I need to do and some reading, but other then that, I don't have a clue.

*sigh* I thought all this stress and worry over school work ended in high school(this stress and worry being me sick for weeks on end and my teachers not working with me).

With a little over 2 weeks until finals and classes end, I just don't know what's going to happen.

Wish me luck! I hope to be back by Monday.

I was wondering how your being sick might have been affecting your school work.

In such an age ot technology, it would be great if the teachers worked a bit more with you.

You can decide if you want to carry on with it or postpone for awhile.

I hope you do get more information so you can have enough time to study.

More importantly I hope your health gets a bit better so you aren't in so much pain and can get to focus more
*HUGS*

Good Luck! My husband is actually going to grad school now and his last teacher never replied back to emails and would constantly change assignments, finally the teacher gave up I think and realized he was not being helpful!

Good luck Kayla! In my experience, college teacher are even less caring then teachers in high school :(
I know you will work hard and get through this, I just don't get why....with a little bit of communication and with all the things that are available nowadays, I don't see why this should be a big deal. Hope they will start working with you....or you can always send someone to slash their tires lol

Sounds to me like you should go over this man's head. Do you have some sort of counselor? Maybe you should call the office, and see if there's someone there you can talk to, and ask them if there's someone that could help you with this problem. Of course I wish you all the luck in the world, baby girl. Just remember you do the best that you can, you can't do no more then that. If at first you don't succeed blah, blah, blah... it's not the end of the world. You can try again if you want too. Did you ever think of going to trade school or school on-line??? Can't you go at your own pace at a on-line school? I'd look into that. HUGS We all know you're trying. You'll be just fine. By the way who's this teacher, what school is that? Maybe I should come down there, and give him a attitude adjustment!!!! Hmmmmm

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I was sick for a month so I know how it feels to have everything piling up. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Good Luck Kayla, maybe it's time to contact someone higher up in administration, especially if you're not getting any responses to your efforts to be effective in class. Feel better soon.
