Prelude:: Congratulations

‘Congratulations’ is a word people use when they want to express their joy and excitement at someone else’s good fortune-I’ve been told congratulations many times; getting an A in English {still shocked about that}, winning a particularly awesome blog giveaway, hitting a trick I’ve been working on in pole for awhile...

The ‘Congratulations’ that I was extended from Chelsea of JVC for winning the Power Your Passion sweepstakes was different: it was the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

Yes, I know, I sound dramatic and whatnot right now, but it’s true! This was my first major trip to a large unknown city, meeting random people I’ve never met before, and doing things I couldn’t have possibly even dreamed of just a few months ago.

All by myself none the less!

I can’t lie to all my readers:: I was nervous. I had to laugh, though, because when I was talking to my mum in the hotel room one night after I got back, she used the words ‘fearless’ and ‘determined’ when describing my attitude about this trip.

Where you even the least bit scared,” she asked me on the phone one night when I had gotten back to the hotel. I didn't really think about the question too much because I was falling out of my chair with fatigue, but I told her yes, that I was nervous. It really didn't occur to me until I was about 10 minutes from home that, oh my god, I should have been scared shitless to be doing this whole trip on my own! It just really didn't occur to me to be scared at all.

Anyway, my excitement, anticipation, and astonishment overran all of the nervous energies I had prior to leaving. After all, I was going to freaking NEW YORK CITY xD

Starting Moday, I will be blogging ALL about my time in New York and at BlogHer 2010-The things I did, people I met, different companies I got to know-Not to mention I have a TON of pictures I've been dying to share with you all xD

Those of you who've already done your BlogHer posts, I would love to read all about YOUR trips-I've created a BlogHer 2010 Post Link Up you're all welcome to link up to :)

Love and Energies.
Kayla

Can't wait to read all about it Kayla! I saw some pictured on facebook and they looked awesome.

You know we're a lot alike. I drove all my self to Atlanta picking up my folks back and forth and I don't like to drive AT ALL. It occurred to me that I should have been scared to death, but I felt fear just when everything was over lol
