New York and BlogHer:: The Trip

The night before I was scheduled to leave for New York, I had figured out everything: When I needed to leave in the morning, what bus stop I had to be at, my flight time, etc.

Of course, if you know me, you know I'm not good with time management >.< style="font-style: italic;">before the 5:45am one which ended up being...

3:30 am

Oh yes, I didn't go to sleep until about 12:00 am and I had to get up at 2, but that was okay! I was already wired for sound ^.^

Thankfully my dad is a seasoned traveler, so he told me what to expect when in the airport and on the plane-What to do, where to go, etc. So by the time I'd gotten my bus ticket and was on the bus, it was like a piece of cake.

I got to the airport fine, got my ticket, found my gate and after some waiting, boarded my plane without incident.

{I had to document EVERYTHING}

The plane ride actually went by really fast and thankfully, the universe was looking out for me because I was placed right next to Kristi of Blogger Black Book. We had a great chat and she filled me in on what to expect since this was her second BlogHer conference.

Oh, and of course I can't forget the ROYALTY on board!!

Seated in front of us were a group of woman on their way to the big apple to celebrate turning 40-They came onto the plane all decked out in their large flashy plastic jewels, birthday hats and plenty of bags with fun wrapped presents they were instructed to open at different intervals.

The stewardess surprised them with their choice of alcoholic beverage and they even got a shout out from the captain himself!

I hope they had a wonderful time ^.^

Anyway, we landed, I deplaned, and set off to find Ann of Ann's Rants because we had connected earlier about sharing a cab to the hotel. After a little trouble, we finally found each other and hailed our cab!

We had a great conversation on our ride there-She's such a wonderful woman ^.^

I was awestruck at all the sights and sounds that were passing by-Seriously, you could TELL I was a tourist because my face was full of wonderment.

We finally made it to our hotel in one piece and boy, was it beautiful!

Tomorrow, you get to meet my friend Katie (as do I) and see all about my whirlwind trip around the city of New York :)

Love and Energies.

It was such a fun time, overwhelming, yes, but in a good way.

I actually sat with Kristi at lunch one day! Small world...
