Health Update Thursday(10/21)

I know I haven't done a health update Thursday in awhile, but I thought this would be a good time to explain to my readers whats been happening the past week and why I've been so sporadic with postings, emails and everything else...

A little under two weeks ago, I came down with a massive migraine that inhibited me from doing anything except downing medicine, wearing sunglasses, and sleeping my days away. I'm fortunate enough to not experience migraines often and when I do, they only last about a day or two before they leave-Unfortunately, this case was different.

One day went by, then two, then three rolled around with my head getting worse, then better, then worse again. One day I'd be clutching a bucket and trying not to move and the next I'd be without sunglasses doing my laundry.

Truth be told, I'm STILL suffering it's effects.

I talked with my M.I. and she said that It's not a regular migraine-You see, I have pathogens in my body and they are causing me to be sick. I was given stuff to kill said pathogens and it worked. Unfortunately, I have some serious issues detoxing, so those dead pathogens are free -floating all around in my body reeking havoc.

This classifies me as 'toxic.'

So I have a toxic headache caused by the pathogens I killed that won't detox from my brain, and I have no idea HOW to detox them from my brain.

Other then that, the same old same old: pain, fatigue, compromised immune system, blah blah blah.

I just want to be better now.

I sure wish I knew how to help. There's nothing worse (at least for me) than a migraine that awful.

My husband used to have migraines and he cut out chocolate, cheese and caffeine and hasn't had one in years, hope you get rid of yours.

That is awful. I hope that the doctors are able to find something that will stop the migraines.

So glad the migraine is getting better. Wish the rest of you felt better, too.

I wear a ball cap along with the sunglasses when a migraine strikes. Looks pretty stupid in the house in the dark but it helps.

We take toredol when we have migraines. It is an anti-inflammatory med. Insurance only usually okays a limited amount for some reason. They gave it to my son via IV when he was hospitalized for migraines at age 11. Pills work slower, but they seem to work.

Feel better soon.

I'm sorry that you aren't feeling good. I hope that all the bad ogolies leave soon and the good ones take over and fix the rest of you.
Migraines suck no matter what.
I hope you you feel better soon. It's hard to survive when you feel so bad.
Take care and God Bless!!!

Pathogens? Did they do a spinal tap to determine the type? Are they sure they are all dead? Sometimes they need to do repeat testing awhile after the medications have been completed to make sure. Hope none of the dead microrganisms have clogged up your cerebral spinal fluid flow around your brain and up and down your spinal cord column. If they have perhaps your cerebral spinal fluid load is too high which can cause a headache, or if they've eaten a whole through maybe into a sinus area then you could have an undetected cerebral spinal fluid leak which could make the fluid levels too low which can cause headaches and bad fatigue. I hope they've checked these issues in your case.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the health issues you have, especially for being so young!

I hope one day that you're pain free.
