Rest in Peace Rue.

I'm shocked.

I'm devastated.

I'm just so completely saddened today.

As my readers, you know that I'm a big Golden Girls fan, and by 'big,' I mean The Girls are like my own personal version of the bible!

One of my friends who is as big of a Golden Girls fan as myself called me today with the earth shattering news: Rue 'Blanche' McClanahan passed away this morning around 1:00am at the age of 76 due to a massive stroke.

You can read more about her passing in this People Article.

I still can't believe that when I watch an episode of the Golden Girls and see Blanche flirting and flaunting herself around a certain 'gentleman friend,' in real life she's with Bea and Estelle in that big lanai in the sky.

As soon as we heard this news, my friend and I made plans on getting together, buying a cheesecake and having a GG marathon...

Can you think of any better tribute?

Rest in Peace Rue.

You will be missed!

Rue 'Blanche' McClanahan

Believe it or not, the Golden Girls is one girlie show the hubs doesn't mind watching with me. He is actually the one that told me about her passing. I loved all the actresses in the series.
I bet Betty White is taking this really hard.
I hope God allows Betty White to live healthy and long.
Rue is going to truly be missed. Rest in Peace.

Very sad news indeed. I guess celebrity should never die, but maybe since they're so famous they really never do.

I used to watch these ladies in TV way back. So sad...

Wait, you are still so young. That would mean you watch the Golden Girls when you're like, 5? :-)
What an interesting 5 year old you are! hee hee
