I'm on my way... being a Reiki Master Healer!

The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work. Be kind to people.
Every morning and evening, join your hands in prayer.
Pray these words to your heart
and chant these words with your mouth

--Usui Mikao, Founder of Reiki

I'm very much into all the natural and metaphysical healing ways and would LOVE to be able to learn everything If I had all the time in the world, but alas, time is one of those rare commodities this day and age!

So instead of relying on immortality, which I'm pretty sure won't be granted to me, I'm learning to take things one step at a time-That is exactly why when I was given the opportunity to study Reiki, I took it without a second thought.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the healing practice, here is a bit of background information:

**Sorry guys, I came home last night and just crashed so background information will be on it's way soon**

I'm very proud to inform all my readers that as of last night, I completed Reiki I and got my certificate to commemorate my accomplishment!! This certificate is honored worldwide :D

I'm also extremely happy and excited to let everyone know as of earlier last week, I signed up for Reiki II which usually starts in May through the community college, but I was able to get into it a month earlier because the teacher was willing to teach it in his own home!! This particular fact made me very happy ^.^

I encourage any of you who have questions to ask them!! If I can help educate you (and maybe lead you to be a Reiki Master yourself), I'm more then happy to do so ^.^

Love and Energies from a Reiki I graduate.

P.s. I'm trying to save up for my own massage table now that I have a use for it-I mean, how AWESOME would that be to get my own massage table!? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek-I'm so excited, you guys can't even imagine!!

I have always wanted to learn more about this. My sister in law started, but I don't think she ever finished. Congrats to you! Keep us posted how your next class goes.

Kayla, this is sooooo cool, and I'm excited for you. Now I want to read more about Reiki, you've piqued my interest.

I was going through my library of books the other day, trying to get rid of some because I still have too many books since my move from Ohio... I digress... I found a book my dad had given me many years ago, Spontaneous Healing by Andrew Weil. I started to read it last night, to find out if it had merit, if I should read the whole book or not.

Needless to say, I could hardly put it down and cannot wait to get back into it today. I was just researching newer books by Dr Weil and I think I want to read Why Our Health Matters next. It sounds fascinating... I personally want to begin taking a more proactive, preventive role with my health, since I am approaching the big 5-0 this year. I have always been stand-offish as far as modern medicine is concerned, and reading Andrew is proving that my concerns have validity. Did you know that the World Health Organization has ranked the USA 37th in health outcomes, on par with Serbia!

Oh my I rant. I'm sorry. But bottom line, I'm excited about your Reiki progress, and I'm going to try to learn as much about Reiki now too!! :-)

Awesome! I will tell you what I tell my Reiki I students - just do your 20 minutes of self-practice every day and your Reiki will progress. Enjoy the energy.
