Featured Blogger Friday(11/6)-Boylerpf

I'm not exactly sure where I met Alicia of Boylerpf-Whether it was on one of my many social networking sites, our shared membership in an Etsy team, or whether we just stumbled across one another on the WWW, I'm glad I did :-)

I feel the same energies I put out, in here and that draws me to her-She is a wonderful person and we have so much in common!

It's only natural that I want her on my blog ^.^
So I hope you enjoy her as much as I do; Maybe you will even feel the same connection I do...

Q. What’s your name and blog? What other information would you like to share?

I'm Alicia Boyle and the name of my blog is Boylerpf. I'm an addict for all things old and specialize in selling Victorian through Art Deco era jewelry. There's something about holding a piece of history and imagining the hidden story it could tell.

Q. Why did you choose that name for your blog?

Boylerpf is not a name I normally would have chosen, but it was my business name. When I first started selling antique jewelry years ago, I had to come up with a quick name. At the time we were living on a farm we named Boyle Round Pond Farm. That was too large, so we shortened it to Boylepf. The moniker has remained for years!

Q. Why did you start blogging?

I had no intent of blogging from the beginning, but set the account up so that I could show my daughter (NodtoModVintage) how to blog. I did my first post as an explanation, thought it was rather fun and the rest is history!

Q. What kind of stuff do you cover with your blog? Is there a specific genre you write about or is the sky the limit?

Definitely the sky is the limit! I blog about life with some advice thrown in, interesting facts I run across day to day and a little about life in a small town. I had originally thought I would use it to promote my antique jewelry business giving tidbits of information. I quickly found out I had many more thoughts, opinions and just plain fun that I wanted to share with my readers.

Q. Name one thing you love about your blogging job.

Without a doubt, my favorite thing about blogging are the relationships I have built from every corner of the world. I am a social person and I love talking to people. If your following my blog or leaving a comment, you can guarantee I'll be checking out your blog and commenting! There is such a wealth of information in blog land. I enjoy reading other viewpoints, sharing and caring about others trials and tribulations and getting inspired by others through their photography. Just stepping into their shoes for a time as I'm reading their blog is quite the cathartic venture!

Q. Name one thing your not quite fond of about your blogging job.

Time. There just aren't enough hours in the day to read every blog that I would like to. I end up having to prioritize what I do in a day in order to keep up with an online business which takes up precedence. If I don't blog one day, I almost feel guilty that I didn't spend time with my friends. It can get quite addicting!

Q. What’s one random fact about you?

Just one? I'm the random queen! My favorite piece of clothing has to be my Carhart overalls...I hate the cold! I've appeared in Vogue to Harper's Bazaar in some of the most incredible designer clothing, but I would never live without my overalls. Seems you just can't take the country out of the girl!

Q. Inspiration comes in many forms for different people. What inspires you?

Holding a piece of well made antique jewelry is a total inspiration. I tend to be a visual person, so anytime I touch a piece of antique jewelry, it's almost as if it comes alive. The craftsmanship and more importantly, the history and story that each piece could tell if only it spoke. It's quite a thrill to have these grand dames start a new chapter in their life!

Q. Where else can we find you(Personal Website, Etsy Shop, Twitter, Facebook, Etc.)?

I enjoy reading guest posts like this one. You learn things about them that they might not otherwise have said on their own blog.

Now I know a bit more about her.

Thanks for having her.

It's nice to meet you Alicia, and I just have to tell you this in case you didn't realize it...you are absolutely gorgeous!

And to my bloggy buddy, thank you for thinking of me this week after the accident, it means a lot to have so many people I've never "met" care about me.

Alicia, what a great interview! I would never have guessed how you derived the name of your blog. My husband still has his Carharts too, but I never even thought of getting some for myself :)

Alicia, this is great! I am already a fan, but I enjoyed this, it is a different venue and shows a slightly different side. And you are gorgeous. I think inside as well as out.

Carharts, you make me laugh! I bet you make them look like a million bucks.
