Thank You to my Supporters*Giveaway*

This is for all of The Eclectic Element readers that have supported me since my starting up in March. It's wonderful to see how everything has grown-from me starting the blog to the idea to feature different artisans, to giveaways from those amazing artists and crafters. Even the comments have seen a significant spike!

And it's all because of you guys :D

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all those supporters and friends I have made along the way. It's great to know I have people who are regulars and who support me through everything, even my health updates!

To say thank you from me to all of you, I'm holding my own giveaway! Want to know what it is?

That is right, I'm offering one of my Lyme Disease 'Healing' Bracelets worth $15 dollars to one of my readers!
*Note: This bracelet varies with the one I'm offering

Here is some information on the bracelet:

This bracelet has been made with a purpose to help spread the word about Lyme. The double stranded bracelet is around 8" with silver toned findings, beads, and charm. Contains glass and seed beads.

The charm is what I want to stand out and with good reason. The one side represents healing for self explanatory reasons and the other side has two stick figures holding hands, which represents all of us lymies and non-lymies who need to stick together on this journey.

Were all not alone in this fight!!

This isn't just for Lymies however; This is for everyone who has suffered illness, who have seen loved ones suffer illness, or people who just want to stay healthy. This is a symbol of health and friendship everywhere and everyone is welcome to enter!!

Here is what you have to do to win:

Rules:

1. You MUST include a way to reach you whether it be an email or blogger URL.

2. Each comment, mandatory and or extra, has to be separate.

Mandatory Entry:

All you have to do is tell me what this bracelet will mean to you if you are chosen the winner. Easy right?

Extra Entries:

1. Follow my Blog(1 extra)

2. Subscribe(1 extra)

*Located on the right-You can't miss it.

3. Follow Me on Twitter and Tweet this giveaway leaving a link when your done.(2 extra)

4. Blog this giveaway leaving a link to the post in a comment(3 extra)

5. Tell me what your favorite thing about my blog is(1 extra)
*It can be anything! Just explain your reasoning.

That's 1 mandatory entry + 8 extra entries which = 9 entries total!
Good Luck!

This contest will run until Wednesday July 15, 2009 11:59 pm central standard time. I will contact the winner within 24 hours of drawing their name. You have 72 hours to claim your prize and send me your shipping information. If I haven't heard from you within that time frame, I will choose another winner.

A friend of mine just lost her husband on Friday. He passed away in his sleep from a heart attack, while out of state on a business trip and he was only in his 30s. I just can't stop thinking about how much healing is going to take place for her over the next days, weeks, months, years... She also has 2 small children. My heart just breaks for her and if I were to win this bracelet, I would give it to her to let her know that she is not alone on this journey of healing and that she is loved.

That bracelet is so beautiful, i love the colors of it, and i also like little details like that, the fact that they are actually meaningful. It says "healing" on it, and it makes it such a unique piece, and what it would mean for me is actually healing from a lot of things that i have overcome in my life as a person, mostly, learning and having to accept myself the way that i am, without expecting to be perfect in any way.

I found you through Alicia at Boyle Antique & Vintage Jewelry... what an absolute beautiful bracelet!

I love your philosophy behind this bracelet. If I were chosen the winner, I would immediately send it to a family friend in Ohio who is suffering from end stage kidney failure. She had a heart transplant 16 years ago (in her 20s) and has already lived longer than the doctors thought she might -- she is not a good candidate for a 2nd heart transplant. She is very positive and inspiring to all who know her - she updates all of us several times a week with an email, whether her progress is good or bad. Right now, things are not looking good and it saddens me to see her have to endure this.

I have been trying to think of something to send to her besides flowers or a cookie basket, and this unique and inspiring bracelet sure would fit the bill and lift her spirits. :-)

I hiked a lot of the Appalachian Trail last year and a few of the hikers I met along the way got diagnosed with Lyme disease. I think they all caught it in time, but I'm sure many along the way haven't. This bracelet will help me to think of them, and my travels.

Your beautiful bracelet would be a wonderfully uplifting token for my friend who has been a "lymie" for quite a long time. (Undiagnosed and misdiagnosed, she has suffered greatly in so many ways.) Sometimes it's difficult for her to hang in there and keep going - I think this is something that will help remind her she is not in it alone - that there are others who can understand an be with her along the way. Thanks for offering this very thoughtful giveaway!

this bracelet would mean a great deal to me. not only did i have a couple of family members with lyme disease but also lost a couple of family friends from it. so to help not only keep their memory on and spread the awareness to all, any support is a big difference. i think it would be even more special because my family has been hit left to right with diseases that have taken so many.

i try to only shop and donate to really help out all causes. to have something special like this bracelet for my mom would i think help keep her fighting against her own cancer. it would also help me stay strong seeing it for my father who sadly has alzheimer's. a push to keep going and that whatever i do is such a bigger picture but also people i love depend on me to be all that i can be every second.

What a beautiful bracelet.

My mother contracted Lyme Disease in 1989 when she was visiting my grandfather in San Francisco. She was there when the earthquake occurred. While she has healed for the most part there are days when things aren't the best for her. My sister was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2001. In 2001 she had a bone marrow transplant. Come next month it will be 8 yrs since the transplant.
Bot of them are grateful for each day they can get up and out of bed.
That is what the bracelet if meaning-Thank YOU.

First: the bracelet is absolutely beautiful, and the colors personify the color of life and rebirth in nature. That being said, "healing" is a message that every person is living, whether it is Lyme disease, a less-than-ideal childhood, sudden loss of a beloved parent (our situation), or even the current economic situation. Every person alive is healing. May we all nurture one another and remember that every stranger we meet is recovering from something.

Although Lyme Disease is not a problem here, we still have many insect carrier diseases. Dengue Fever for one is reaching epidemic proportions. It also is very dibilitating without a cure or vaccine!! I have luckly never had to deal with Lyme however surviving Dengue is a good reason to wear your bracelet as a proclamation!! :)
