Health Update Thursday(7/2)

So for those of you who have been wondering, my doctors appointment went well. It wasn't the greatest in the world and it wasn't the worst-It was somewhere in the middle I suppose.

The doctor was extremely nice! He was quite funny too. The only thing is that he really doesn't know the situation and this disease, so he promised me things that I'm cautiously optimistic about. He was very adamant that I go on this prescription drug, but from all of his accounts, it work miracles so we decided hey, let's give it a shot! There were some other things he gave me to try so we will see what happens with those too.

Onto the treatment. On Monday, I also had my first hydrogen peroxide treatment. I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't worried(because I stressed myself out to the point of physical pain when we left), but I can't way it was the worst thing I have ever done. There was some burning when the peroxide was going in, but that was remedied with a heat pad and propping up my arm on a pillow.

All in all, the appointment lasted from 3:00 pm(we were early-our appointment was at 3:30) to about a little after 8:00 pm. Yes, it lasted that long because:

1. The doctor was late(I'll explain that whole predicament later)
2. The consultation with the doctor took about 45 minutes
3. The IV lasted about 2 hours
4. They made me get up and walk

Yes, you heard me correctly. The doctor's brother(more on that later too) wouldn't let me leave until I got up and walked. At the time I didn't think I could do it, but once I started, I was determined! I walked the whole length of the back room with him(with the aid of a walker of course). But I did it none the less =]

I just wanted to quickly update you on what happened. There is ALOT more to the story, but I'm going to explain in a vblog when I can cause it's too much to write down. Lol

So thank you all who wished me luck at my appointment! I appreciate it =]
And like I said, were cautiously optimistic about everything. I go back tomorrow for another IV, so I guess time will tell.

Love and Energies.
Kayla

Oh my! Glad things went well. Why is it that doctors can be late but we are supposed to be early? We actually have a really great doctor. Usually our appointments are done before we were scheduled to go in! We know to show up 15 minutes early.
